In recent days, the Government has also been holding ‘Digi Dhan Mela’ camps in various urban areas to teach and advantages of cashless transactions. Today, PM Narendra Modi has announced a rebranded form of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) app at the Digi Dhan Mela camp in Delhi. Called “BHIM” which remains for Bharat Interface for Money, the app is produced by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and is accessible for Android Smartphones by means of Google Play Store.
UPI apps went live recently in August with 21 banks. Though, the payment interface was coordinated into the managing an account apps with different elements as well.
